My Mind Warned Me (Scene 1-6)

Posted by: Jonathan Tabianan | June 1, 2006 |

I’ve created this one for a project of mine on a one subject last year. It is based on my dream.
***

Scene 1: I was walking on a very narrow, tunnel-like passage.

Jonathan: Thinking -

“Hmmm, … What am I doing here?”
Scene 2: There are two monk-like bald men walking just ahead of me. The leading one is about six feel tall, white complexion, large body built and chubby, while the other one behind him is about five feet tall, while complexion, large body built and chubby. They look like not Filipinos or with white-American blood on them. The both wear cloak, just like what monks are wearing.

The shorter man is shouting and sneezing with his face facing the white side wall (neatly painted with white). The taller guy is walking calmly and straight, acting like a real monk.

Jonathan: Thinking, feeling odd -

“Hmm, .. Are they monks!?”
Tall: Looking straight ahead, talking silently - “It’s our lucky day!”
Small: Walking cool, grinning hideously - “You damn right! Heeheee!”
Scene 3: Their behaviour seems odd to me. It seems like, there’s something wrong; there’s something isn’t right. By the way, before I forgot, the shorter guy has a tribal tattoo on his left shoulder, extending right before his elbow.

Jonathan: Felt danger, cautious, thinking -

“Something’s going to happen…”
Scene 4: When we finally reached the other end of the tunnel, the taller man suddenly behaved odd and somehow reluctant. He hesitated to go out the tunnel and stayed at it’s end. Seems like he’s hiding or observing and waiting for something to happen. Whatever that is, I have no idea.

Tall: Feel a little nervous, talking silently -

“Hmm, this one looks tough…”
Small: Feel the same - “They can manage him, I guess!”
Scene 5: I ignored it and continued to walk out of the tunnel.

Jonathan: Feeling excited with smile on face, ignoring the danger ahead -

“Can’t remember the last time I smelled fresh air!”
Scene 6: Outside the tunnel, I saw line of tricycle cabs and a wide stretch of land with ruins of burned houses. I looked around and smelledd the air. I sensed adventure and unexplainable excitement jumping through my veins but I refused to let it out, keep it to myself and neverr let the people see it.

Jonathan: Feeling adventure -

“This is it, here I come!!!”
