12 Little Things Every Filipino Can Do To Help Our Country

Posted by: Jonathan Tabianan | February 16, 2009 |

Good day to all my fellow Filipinos!

I wanna share to you guys this little book I’ve read just yesterday. It will surely awaken your awareness about the little things every Filipino, rich or poor, can do for our country and it’s potential to bring our country to progress in the future.

The author (Atty. Alexander Lacson) believes that “Our country’s future lies in our own hands…” which I also strongly believed for a long time. I been emphasizing it in Filipino forums in the internet even though I felt that no one notices it, I just post it anyway. But when I found this book in National Bookstore yesterday and read it, it just gave me more strength in my faith and found our that I’m not alone in my principle…

Stop asking questions, the answer is in you!

“Our country’s hope lies in our own hands, Filipinos!”

1. Follow traffic rules. Follow the law.
2. Whenever you buy or pay for anything, always ask for an official receipt.
3. Don’t buy smuggled goods. Buy Local. Buy Filipino.
4. When you talk to others, especially foreigners, speak positively about us and our country.
5. Respect your traffic officer, policeman, and soldier.
6. Do not litter. Dispose your garbage properly. Segregate. Recycle. Conserve.
7. Support your church.
8. During elections, do your solemn duty.
9. Pay your employees well.
10. Pay your taxes.
11. Adopt a scholar or a poor child.
12. Be a good parent. Teach your kids to follow the law and love our country.

hello there :) napadaan lang . if only filipinoes can realize this things , maunlad na sana ang pilipinas :D

Hello too ella, thanks for the visit… :) I’m glad you’ve noticed my entry. You’re right, if only more Filipinos will realize these 12 little things we will surely become a progressive country eventually. I hope my entry will help at least… :)

oh gees , exchange links please ?? :) actually , Filipinos aren’t sure about their priorities .. Usually , ask some and they’ll answer you they have to earm money and be rich .. oh .

You’re right!

Ok, I’ll add you to my blog links… :)

Dont be fooled by these so-called good deeds that Filipinos should have and it will make us a First World country.

Ask yourself: how many are doing these things already and how many are not? Atty Lacson’s exhortations are false hopes.

Do you agree that 90% of all Filipinos are already doing what Lacson wants us to do? If so, then why are we still very very poor?

Think about it. 90% of the people are good, are followng rules, etc etc… and yet we are still poor.. therefore, Lacson’s tenets are not what it takes.

Try to google the PDF file of a book I read its called WHY FILIPINOS ARENT RICH

One word:

“Positivity.”

I would rather be on the positive side of thinking. Period.

P.S.:

“90% Filipinos following the traffic rules” I don’t think so. It just sounds hippocrite.

I’m working in the “field” and I traveled a lot in almost every part of North Luzon (currently) and Merto Manila (before) in a daily basis. What I see in every corner of the streets and roads are traffic violations… I would rather believe in you if you’ll reverse what you’ve said.

I believe in Atty. Lacson 99.9%…
